Bridging Past Glory with a Promising Future with the Ohio Valley Ironmen!
The Ohio Valley Ironmen proudly carry forward the legacy of the Wheeling Ironmen, a team that once epitomized the region's passion for football. With a rich history of championships and community spirit, we honor the past while building a promising future.
Honoring the Wheeling Ironmen Legacy
Established in 1962, the Wheeling Ironmen quickly became a symbol of determination and community pride.
Their back-to-back United Football League championships in 1962 and 1963 solidified their place in football history.
Competing in leagues like the Continental Football League, they showcased resilience and commitment to the sport.

Revitalizing a Proud Heritage
The Ohio Valley Ironmen are reigniting this legacy by joining the International Football Alliance (IFA), a league dedicated to bringing competitive professional football to passionate markets.
Under the leadership of General Manager and Head Coach Manny Matsakis, a Shadyside native with extensive coaching experience at Kansas State, Texas Tech, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the Ironmen are poised to make a significant impact.
This revitalization bridges past glory with a modern vision for football in the Ohio Valley.

A New Home for Ironmen Football
The Ohio Valley Ironmen are proud to call John Marshall High School's Monarch Stadium in Moundsville, West Virginia, their home. Situated in the heart of the Ohio Valley, this venue honors the team's historical roots while providing modern facilities for fans to enjoy. Monarch Stadium is more than a field; it's a place where the community can come together to celebrate the excitement of professional football.

Building Stronger Community Ties
The Ohio Valley Ironmen are dedicated to strengthening bonds with the community through various initiatives. Events like the 'Meet and Greet' at Generations Restaurant and Pub create meaningful connections with local fans and stakeholders. Open tryouts provide opportunities for regional talent to join the team and make an impact on the field.

In addition to fostering local connections, the Ironmen's organization includes two dynamic groups: the Union and the Guild. The Union brings together fans and supporters, offering exclusive perks like behind-the-scenes content, merchandise discounts, and a sense of community pride. For local businesses, the Guild is an invaluable platform to showcase their brand while aligning with the passion and spirit of the Ironmen.
